This Privacy Policy describes what data is collected by the "Bi Driver" application, how it is used, stored, and protected. We aim to ensure transparency regarding the processing of personal data and compliance with applicable regulations, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (RODO) and the Act of 6 September 2001 on Road Transport of the Republic of Poland (Dz.U.2024.1539 t.j.).

2. Categories of Collected Data and Purposes of Processing
2.1. Firebase ID
- Purpose of collection: Used to send push notifications about new orders, their cancellation, status changes, and messages from passengers and taxi dispatchers.
- Legal basis: Driver’s consent expressed during installation and use of the application, and the legitimate interest of the data controller (ensuring prompt communication with the driver).
2.2. Location Information
- 2.2.1. In active mode:
Purpose of collection: Determining the driver’s current location to search for nearby orders, display it to the dispatcher and passenger, and calculate estimated arrival time and distance to the start and end points of the route.
Legal basis: Driver’s consent and the necessity to perform the contract for taxi services.
- 2.2.2. In background mode (including when the application is inactive, not used, or closed):
Purpose of collection: Ensuring continuous tracking of the driver’s location, e.g., when using navigation programs, to search for nearby orders and provide up-to-date information to the dispatcher and passenger.
Example: The driver uses an external navigation program while the taxi app runs in the background to update location data.
Legal basis: Driver’s consent and the legitimate interest of the data controller (optimizing service operation and improving service quality).
2.3. Photos and Documents
- Data type: Photos of the vehicle, driver’s documents (e.g., driving license, permit), and selfies.
- Purpose of collection: Identification of drivers performing passenger transport through an intermediary, in accordance with the requirements of the Act of 6 September 2001 on Road Transport (Dz.U.2024.1539 t.j.), Art. 27e(9).
- Legal basis: Fulfillment of legal obligations imposed on the data controller and the driver’s consent upon providing the data.
3. How We Use Your Data
The collected data is used exclusively for:
- Ensuring the operation of the application and provision of taxi services.
- Notifying drivers about new orders and changes to existing orders.
- Optimizing order searches based on the driver’s location.
- Providing the dispatcher and passenger with information about the driver’s location, arrival time, and distance.
- Verifying the driver’s identity and compliance with legal requirements.
4. Data Sharing with Third Parties
Your data may be shared with:
- Technical service providers: e.g., Firebase (Google) for sending notifications or hosting providers for data storage.
- Dispatchers and passengers: only location information and estimated arrival time as part of order fulfillment.
- Authorities: in cases required by law (e.g., to verify compliance with the Road Transport Act).
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
5. Data Storage
- Firebase ID: Stored as long as the driver uses the application or until consent is withdrawn.
- Location data: Stored for the time necessary to fulfill the order and deleted after the trip ends, except in cases required by law (e.g., archiving).
- Photos and documents: Stored for the duration of the driver’s contract and the period required by law (e.g., for inspections), after which they are deleted or archived.
6. Your Rights
Under RODO, you have the following rights:
- The right to access your data and obtain a copy of it.
- The right to rectify inaccurate data.
- The right to erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”), provided it does not conflict with legal obligations.
- The right to restrict data processing.
- The right to data portability.
- The right to withdraw consent to data processing at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal).
- The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland – the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).

7. Data Security

8. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy. The updated version will be published in the "Bi Driver" application.
