Privacy Policy for the Bi.tax app (Bialystok)
What data do we collect?
The app requires a phone number for registration and user identification. Additionally, according to the law, the following trip-related data is collected:
- User's phone number.
- User identifier in the app's built-in browser.
- Trip date and route.
- Driver information for the trip.
- Trip amount and payment method.
This data is stored in accordance with Polish law for 5 years and may be provided to state authorities upon request.
Location access
The app may use your current location data for:
- Automatically filling in the pickup address for a trip.
If location access is granted and automatic pickup point determination is chosen, the user’s current location information is sent to the server to determine the pickup address or create coordinates in case of an address absence. These data are then saved with the rest of the trip details.
Location data is used solely for trip processing and not for other purposes.
How do we use the data?
Collected data is used solely for:
- Registration and user identification in the app.
- Trip processing and ensuring proper app functionality.
- Fulfilling legal obligations, such as storing data for potential inspections.
Are data shared with third parties?
Data may be shared only with:
- State authorities upon request under applicable law.
- External service providers required for app operation (e.g., servers), who must comply with data protection rules.
- Carriers executing trips: all trip-related data, including contact information and location details, may be shared with the carrier exclusively for ensuring quality service.
What rights do users have?
Users have the right to:
- Access their data: You may request information about your processed data, such as trip details, at any time.
- Correct data: You can request to correct inaccuracies in your data.
- Object to data processing: You may oppose the processing of data not required by law, e.g., for marketing purposes (if applicable).
- Restrict data processing: You may request a restriction on data processing if you believe it is unlawful.
Right to data deletion
Data stored to fulfill legal obligations, such as trip details (phone number, route, driver information, amount, payment method), cannot be deleted before 5 years from collection as per Polish law regarding trip data storage.
