Bohoniki is about 50 km northeast of Białystok, a few kilometres from Sokółka. In normal traffic the drive takes around 50-60 minutes.
The fastest way is to call 888-888-111 or book online in the Bi.tax app. You can also book the return trip straight away, or ask the driver to wait on site if you're planning a short stop.
The village's main landmark is its historic 19th-century wooden Tatar mosque — one of only two surviving historic wooden mosques in Poland (alongside Kruszyniany) and a stop on the Tatar Trail. Right next to it is the mizar, an old Muslim cemetery still used today by the descendants of Poland's Tatar community. Bohoniki remains a living religious centre for local Tatars, especially during festivals such as Kurban Bayram.
Seeing the mosque and the cemetery usually takes about an hour — a good stop to combine with nearby Kruszyniany.
